Élise & Paul
Two voices. Two books. And the space between them.
Sometimes two readings meet at just the right moment.
I recently read two books by emerging authors, still little known: Élise Marquant and Paul Marquand.
Their perspectives differ. In places, they almost seem to contradict each other. Elsewhere, something quite unexpected appears when you let them answer one another.
I had no wish to choose.
I preferred to let them speak to each other.

I made a booklet out of it, with a fairly simple intention: to try to bring out the essence of both their thoughts without reducing one to the other.
And to leave a little space between them.
The booklet

The circle on the cover remains open.
That is not entirely by chance.
Perhaps something sometimes has to be left open so that something else can come into being.
I am sharing this booklet freely here.
