Le Scarabée et l’Oiseau Bleu
Since the beginning of 2024, symbolic narratives have been passing through me.
They arise in expanded states of consciousness, at the border between dream and waking.
Le Scarabée et l’Oiseau Bleu is one of them. A woman leaves the shadow of a life that has become too narrow for her. She walks into the desert, towards a forgotten fire, a golden scarab and a blue bird.
Seven episodes. Seven thresholds.
P.S. — An unexpected encounter
30 September 2026, Gulbenkian Museum, Lisbon.
In a display case, I came across an object I did not know existed — a winged scarab in green faience, dating from the Egyptian Late Period.
It looked strangely like an image born of this tale.
I wasn’t looking for anything. I was spending time with my children.
And it spoke to me.
